Business Culture in Indonesia

>> Women in Business in Indonesia

Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country, yet many women hold positions of authority within organisations and it is unlikely that female visitors will encounter any hostility from male colleagues.

Female managers should behave in a very professional manner with male colleagues, as overt signs of friendship could be misconstrued.

Be aware that, although same-sex tactility is commonplace, touching between the sexes is frowned upon.
